Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yastuhashi says he is happy to have snatched a point against Ebusua Dwarfs on match day three of Ghana Premier League at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast.
The Phobians won their last two games against Edubiase United and Medeama en route to Sunday’s game but were unable to breakdown a resilient Dwarfs defence who were fighting for points following their losses in their two previous games.
“We were hoping to get all the three points against them (Ebusua Dwarfs), however it did not happen,” Yastuhashi told Goal.
“Both teams played a good game and created chances. They failed to capitalize on our mistakes and we also failed to finish our chances but the bottom line is we are happy with a point instead of coming home with nothing.
“We’re now having seven points after three games and will hope to make amends next weekend at home. Amassing ten points out of twelve won’t be a bad start for us. We’re taking every game after the other and hope to finish the season well,” he added.
Hearts will host Bechem United next weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day four. The Phobians are tied with leaders Wa All Stars on same points but the latter have better goal difference.
