Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars have signed Windy Professionals midfielder Samuel Boampong in a three-year deal.
The 16-year-old joined Aduana in November on trial after a wonderful campaign in the second tier league last season and went on to impress the technical team.
Communication director of Aduana, Appiah Kubi, has lauded the qualities of the youngster and believes he will learn from the older players.
“Boampong is a good player with a great future,” Kubi told Goal.
“The coaches were very impressed with him during his trial and have given him this opportunity to join the squad next season. We are hoping his development will be rapid since there are a lot of experienced players around to learn from,” he added.
Boampong becomes the fourth major signing by Aduana following their acquisition of former Asante Kotoko midfielder Richard Mpong and B.A United defender Stephen Anokye Badu and Great Olympics defender Ofoe Ofostu.
Aduana finished third last season on the 16-club log with 46 points, six below winners Ashantigold.
