Kevin Prince Boateng has disclosed that Mubarak Wakaso suggested Las Palmas to him.
The ex-Black Stars forward completed a one-year deal with Spanish side, Las Palmas, after a successful medical on Tuesday.
According to Boateng his surprise move to Las Palmas was recommended by his former teammate at the Black Stars Mubarak Wakaso.
“He told me that it is a quality team. I’ve seen some games with a modern attacking football. That can come me well,” he told the club’s website
“For me, it was a surprise that the airport found me a legend like Juan Carlos Valerón, it is as if you got me, Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo,” he concluded.
Kevin Prince Boateng for the past years has been struggling to hit top form, despite changing clubs. The 29-year-old joined AC Milan from Shalke 04 in the Bundesliga, couldn’t enjoy much playing due to injury worries and got released in the end. He returned to AC Milan in an attempt to revive his career, but the same old troubles continued.
Mubarak Wakaso played for Las Palmas last season in the Spanish La Liga.
