Newly promoted division one league side Vision FC have appointed Serbian Ivan Bujagic as the club’s new coach in a two-year deal.
The 44-year-old holds UEFA license B certificate and will succeed departed Dragojlo Stanojlovic.
Club president Michael Osekre insists Bujagic is the right choice despite recent reports in the local media indicating that Paa Kwesi Fabien was in the lead to become the new coach.
“Ivan Bujagic is a very good coach and we believe he is the right choice,” Osekre told Goal.
“There were several names in the media including Paa Kwesi Fabian but we’ve settled on the Serbian. Although he is new to the environment, he is expected to build a formidable squad for the future and help nurture good talents.
“In the upcoming season, we are aiming to compete and maintain our place in the league but we will be eyeing qualification into the premier league in the third season,” he added.
Vision won 2014-15 Greater Accra second division qualification playoff tournament after amassing 15 points, 8 points above second-placed True Demo FC.
Goal understands that Bujagic signed the contract with Osekre in the Serbian city of Nis in the district of Nisava on December 4. The coach is expected to arrive in Ghana on theDecember 9.
