“Every player wants to hold the Champions League trophy in their hands at some point,” he told Sports Bild.
“So the decision to move to Bayern was easy.”
Vidal joined the German champions last month in a 40m Euros (£28.6m) transfer. He was part of the Juventus side who lost 3-1 to Barcelona in the final of last season’s competition at the outset of June.
Vidal added that he spoke to Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli before making his move.
“He immediately said it was a great option for me, especially in terms of my desire to finally win the Champions League,” Vidal added, before going on to add that he believes he and Sampaoli both think he will work well with Bayern boss PepGuardiola.
“We were both of the opinion that Pep is one of the best coaches in the world. Our game with Chile contains a lot of Guardiola elements.
“I play football with a lot of passion and put my whole heart into the team. That’s what I hope to do well for Bayern.
“The private Arturo is quite sensitive. At home, I’m a quiet guy. On the pitch, I have a different personality. I feel the adrenaline rising and the urge to win.”
