Former Asante Kotoko top scorer Ahmed Toure suggests he could return to the Ghana Premier League by mid season after he saw his deal with the Porcupine Warriors cancelled ahead of the new campaign for failing to report for preseason.
The Ivoiro-Burkinabe says he is in talks with two Ghanaian clubs although he is currently in France on holidays with his family.
“I’m in France now but will be in Ghana next week Saturday or Sunday. I’m currently in talks with two clubs in Ghana, so I will meet the people in charge and discuss terms with them. I won’t reveal whether the team is in Kumasi or Accra,” Toure told Boss FM.
“By God’s grace, I will play the second round of the Ghana Premier League if everything is okay, why not.
“I have my personal physical trainer who is working to keep me in shape. I’m currently training with a second division team. Before I went to France, I was training with Asec [Mimosas].
Toure had a loan stint at Lebanese Club Nejmeh at the end of the 2014/15 season, but the deal eventually fell through.
