Guinea captain Ibrahima Traore believes Ghana can go all the way to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations having succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to the Black Stars on Sunday.
A brace by Christian Atsu and one from debutant Kwesi Appiah handed Ghana the comfortable win in the quarter final clash played in Malabo.
Ghana had to dig deep to recover from a disastrous start to make it to the final four of the competition.
The Black Stars had to win their remaining group games against Algeria and South Africa to get out of a tough group having lost its opening group game to Senegal.
Ibrahima Traore’s team got a real taste of the increasingly devastating form Ghana is growing into as the tournament approaches the final stages.
The Borussia Monchengladbach man recognizes Ghana as favourites to win the tournament.
“Of course [about whether Ghana can go on to win the tournament] are favourites,” he told MTNFootball.com.
“They can do it [winning 2015 AFCON].”
