Torric Jebrin’s impressive start to his Ismaily career has been rewarded even this early after the Ghanaian playmaker was nominated for the Egypt Premier League’s player of the month award.
Jebrin is one of four players named by the Ismaily official website in contention for the October gong, a month during which the league kicked off and featured two fixtures, a 2-0 victory over El Entag El Harby and a 0-0 draw at Al Mokawloon.
The Ghanaian is competing for the award against Marwan Mohsen, S Hosni and T. Adel after impressing in both games in October under review.
Fans can vote by visiting Ismaily’s official Facebook page here to vote for the player of their choice.
The voting process which began on Monday night runs for three days before the winner is declared on Thursday.
Jebrin was named Ismaily’s man of the match in their opening day victory over El Entag El Harby and was also impressive in their draw at Al Mokawloon on match day 2.
He was also voted Ismaily’s man of the match in the match day 3 home defeat to El Dakhleya on Sunday but the game coming on 1st November is not regarded for the October award.
The former Hearts of Oak teenage sensation is hoping his impressive performances in Egypt will catch the attention of Ghana national team selectors.
“I want to get called up for my national team, so I try to work hard, keep my performance up and improve in every game, try to be scoring and assisting, be creative. I think the Black Stars coach will also be watching so it’s all going to be good and I will be called,” said Jebrin.
