Thiago Alcantara has signed a new contract at Bayern Munichwhich lasts until 2019.
The Spain international, whose time at the club has been beset by injury, joined Bayern from Barcelona in 2013.
Thiago’s previous contract tied him to the club until 2017.

He has been restricted to just 13 Bundesliga starts and has appeared as a substitute in the opening two matches of Bayern’s season.
“We are delighted that Thiago has decided for a long-term future at Bayern. He is young and an important player for the future of the club,” said Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
