Ten players report for Black Stars training camp

The Black Stars will train on Tuesday ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Comoros with 21 players having reported to camp.

Coach Avram Grant called up 23 players for the game that will be played at the Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh in Moroni on Friday before returning to Ghana to host their Comoros adversaries on Tuesday for the return leg.

The senior national team of Ghana experienced some troubles with the uncut grass at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday when they began preparations for the World Cup qualifier. The team had to limit their space for training to a small section of the pitch as other parts were unplayable.

The Black Stars will however have a good park to train on after Liberty Professionals grounds personnel were tasked to keep the pitch in shape of Tuesday’s training.

Coach Avram Grant will be without Harrison Afful and Phil Ofosu Ayew for Tuesday’s training as they are the only players yet to report at the Black Stars camp.

The team is expected to travel from Accra on Wednesday for the game in Comoros, two days ahead of the fixture on Friday.
