Medeama coach Tom Strand says his team have been adjusting fast to the high temperature in Sudan, ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup fixture against Al Shendi on Sunday.
The sole Ghanaian representatives in the competition have been training under sultry weather at the Khartoum SC training ground, but without major effects on the players, according to the coach.
“We try to push the players a little bit so they could feel it’s to play in a high working rate in this environment,” Strand said.
“But I think it went well and I hope that it’s a good strategy for Sunday’s game
“We have to make some players ready for the match and try to make their bodies adjust to the climate.
“We have a couple of days to the match so we had the chance to push them a little bit.
“We are trying to give a good performance here. We have to adapt to the situation and the match.
“We’ll see the opponent and then see how we can push it. Now we’re going to work more on the strategy and their physical conditioning.”
The return leg will hold in Ghana in two weeks time.
