Richard Oblitey Commey is a winner again after the undefeated Ghanaian boxer scored a round five knockout victory over Georgian, C in Germany on Saturday afternoon.
Commey had to fight Avetisian as a last minute replacement for another Georgian, Ramaz Bebnadze who pulled out of the clash 48 hours to fight night.
No problems for Commey though after the Ghanaian dominated his new opponent all fight long till the referee had no choice than to halt proceedings in the 5th of the scheduled 10-rounder.
It means the unbeaten Commey improved his professional record to 23 victories in 23 career fights with 21 knockouts to boot.
It certainly also enhances the boxer nicknamed Azonto King’s world championship push, Commey currently rated a career high number 4 Lightweight in the world by the IBF.
The reigning Commonwealth and IBF Intercontinental Lightweight champion is also ranked number 11 by the WBC.
