he first leg of the Spanish Supercopa between Barcelona and Sevilla will take place at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan at 22:00 local time on August 14, while the second leg at the Camp Nou will kick off at 23:00 local time on August 17.
Sevilla confirmed the times on Monday, following the Spanish FA’s announcement of the dates last Friday.
Originally, the two-legged duel between the double winners and the Copa del Rey runners-up had been scheduled for August 12 and 15, but the Andalusian side pushed for – and were granted – a postponement given that they are scheduled to play Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup in Norway on August 9.
As a result of pushing the fixtures back, Barcelona and Sevilla will have just four days rest between the second leg of the 2016/17 season’s curtain-raiser and their August 20 La Liga fixtures – against Real Betis and Espanyol respectively.
