Second seed in the latest Ghana Tennis Rankings, George Darko is expected to be a tough customer for defending champion, Jeff Bagerbaseh when the 12th edition of the Senior Tennis Open Championship kick starts on Friday at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club.
Darko, who lost narrowly to Bagerbaseh last year, believes he has worked hard enough to dethrone Top ranked seed when the championship starts.
“I will not start to blow my horns but truth be told, I have worked well for this championship, he is in a great shape but I think that for the past few weeks, what I have done on the court has been phenomenonal. I’m ready for this championship and I will make amends after I lost last year.”
Over 150 tennis players have registered for the Senior Open Championship which will be played between the 28th and 29th of November.
