There will be no Diafra Sakho in Senegal’s final 23-player squad for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup, but Sadio Mane was included.
In-form West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho was ruled out with a back injury on Wednesday and coach Alain Giresse was left with 27 players to choose from for his final squad. But the good news is that he was able to include Southampton’s Sadio Mane who was also an injury risk in recent days.
Mane’s club had ruled him out injured last weekend, but he will be going to Equatorial Guinea after all.
From his 27-man group, the French coach left behind Diambars’ goalkeeper Ousmane Mane, Italy-based defenders Boukary Drame and Ibrahima Mbaye and midfielder Pape Alioune Ndiaye.
