Cristiano Ronaldo heads the final shortlist of 30 elite players listed for the 2016 Ballon d’Or.
The Portuguese claimed a famous double of the Champions League, with Real Madrid, and the European Championship, with Portugal.
The usual suspects are there, too, with Barcelona’s MSN – Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar – while Gareth Bale offers the best British hope of winning.
Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez, who claimed the 2015/16 PFA Player of the Year after the Foxes’ title triumph, heads the Premier League contingent.
Hugo Lloris, Sergio Aguero, Jamie Vardy, and Kevin De Bruyne also make the list.
The last eight awards have been shared between Messi and Ronaldo, with the likelihood of that duopoly being broken remote.
The Portuguese superstar is a strong betting favourite, available at 1/6, while the Argentinian is joined by Griezmann as joint-second favourite at 5/1.
Mesut Ozil was amongst some high-profile omissions, alongside Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, PSG’s Angel Di Maria and Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci.
