Hearts of Oak captain, Robin Gnagne says player commitment is vital to the club’s success after the Phobians managed to beat the drop zone last season.
The Accra giants defiled all odds by putting up some brave performances at the latter part of the season to avoid relegation and ended the season on a high note by placing fourth with 43 points on the log sheet.
Robin Gnagne who has been one of the best players in Hearts of Oak set up is optimistic that if players who play for the former premier league champions show a lot of commitment and dedication, the team will reclaim its past glory adding that he is happy at Hearts.
“I don’t think I need to convince anybody,” Robin Gnagne told the club’s News Paper [Hearts News].
“I think that Hearts of Oak is a big club and the players who want to play for Hearts and all the players are happy but to me the most important thing is for these players to show total commitment to the team”.
The Ivorian import added: “I don’t know why some players would not want to give off their best to this team. Hearts is a big platform and for every player that comes in here, the basis must be to perform at the highest level with loyalty and commitment.
“I think it is important in the way that we show this commitment here. I see myself as an important player here and want to continue to enjoy that accolade even more. Every player is an important one for Hearts of Oak and the new ones coming in must show that same personality and commitment for the team”.
