Brandon Rios announced his retirement from boxing after his ninth-round knockout to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on Saturday.
Rios was no match for Bradley in Las Vegas, floored twice during the ninth round as the American retained his title by TKO at the Thomas and Mack Center.
The 29-year-old Rios, who fell to a career record 33-2-1, was emotional post-bout and revealed his intention to hang up his gloves.
“After eight months lay-off, it is f****** b******* … My body did not react,” Rios said afterwards.
“I think I’m done [with boxing]. I think I’ll just hang up the gloves and call it a night.”
