Roma have reportedly agreed a £14m fee with Manchester City for Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko, according to Sky sources.
The two clubs have reached a compromise after lengthy discussions regarding the size of the offer, with the 29-year-old expected to complete his move in the next 24 hours.
The Serie A side are confident a deal can be formalised in time for the striker to be in contention to face Valencia in their pre-season fixture on Saturday.
Dzeko has endured a frustratingly inconsistent spell at the Etihad since a £27m move from Wolfsburg in January 2011.
Only four players have recorded more goals than Dzeko’s 48 in the last four Premier League seasons, but the forward was reduced to a bit-part role last term.
