An MRI scan on Sunday revealed he is yet to recover from the articulate cartilage of his knee he damaged back in December last year, according to a medical report.
However, the Juventus star could make an early return to action depending on his recovery and further evaluations.
The club have said they are in no hurry to rush the player into action.
Kwadwo Asamoah joined the Old Lady from fellow Italian side Udinese in 2013 and has since won three Serie A titles.
He suffered a career threatening injury in December last year and has only played two competitive game since then.
