Asante Kotoko have secured a trial with Zamalek for their leading top scorer in the ongoing, First Capital Plus Premier League, Ahmed Toure, but the player is reluctant to play on a North African soil.
The player is supposed to travel to Cairo, the capital city of Egypt for the trials with Zamalek football club on Thursday.
However, Allsports.com.gh understands that the Ivorian import after receiving the information about Asante Kotoko’s decision to let him go for trials in Egypt had a discussion with the Supporters Chairman of the club stating he is being forced to leave the Porcupine Warriors outfit.
The 28-year old was dropped from the Asante Kotoko team that edged Accra Hearts of Oak by 2-1 on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra on match day 25 of the First Capital Plus Premier League (PLB), despite the player claiming he was fully fit to have played a part in the game.
This has increased speculations that Ahmed Toure is wanted out of Asante Kotoko.
