IFA’s Disciplinary Committee has turned down both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid’s evidence and has handed down a transfer ban, a decision both clubs will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS), an international body in charge of settling disputes pertaining to the world of professional sport.
The appeal will be made as quickly as possible by Los Blancos so as to speed up the process and get a final decision as soon as they can.
“The club regrets said decision, understanding it to be deeply unjust and contrary to the fundamental principles of disciplinary law”,’ the club said in an official statement.

Atletico Madrid have also decided to appeal the sanction to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), just like their cross-city rivals.
In Atleti’s case, a 820,000 euro fine also accompanied the FIFA body’s decision. An international team of specialists are already preparing the appeal, though Simeone’s squad and the rest of the club have already accepted the possibility of it being rejected.
