Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have mutually terminated their three-year contract with Ghanaian striker Nathaniel Asamoah after he was deemed surplus to requirement.
The 25-year-old joined the Green Eagles in August after a splendid campaign in the Ghana Premier League last season scoring 18 goals.
He was leading the top scorers’ chart with two games to close the campaign but left for the North African side where he has failed to replicate his goal-scoring prowess.
“Raja Casablanca and Medeama SC have agreed to terminate the contract of Nathaniel Asamoah,” a club statement read.
“Raja will not pay any money to Asamoah or his team and the player is expected to rejoin Medeama,” it added.
Asamoah played six matches – four league games and two cup games- scoring one goal.
Sports5050 understands that Christian Osaguona Ighodaro will fill the space left behind by Asamoah’s departure after the Nigerian striker resolved his differences with Raja and returned to the club.
