Former Asante Kotoko defender Ibrahim Ayew says he will consider an offer to return to the club after parting ways with them last season as a free agent.
The 28-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2013 from Egyptian club Zamalek on a season-long loan but refused to extend his stay following a salary disagreement.
“I like Asante Kotoko [and] I still follow their games. If Kotoko come to me for my services, I will play for them,” Rahim told SportsXtra.
“Kotoko wanted me to be with them for a longer period. I asked them to bring me an offer after my initial season. I waited until I received an offer from the club’s top hierarchy which was the same as the one they offered me when I joined initially. If I signed for example say $300 two years ago and you want me to stay longer, you have to better the offer [but they didn’t] that was why I advised myself,” he added.
Ayew has been capped eight times for Ghana without a goal and was part of the Black Stars squad that represented the country in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and Fifa World Cup.
