Prandelli resigns as Valencia coach

The unholy mess unfolding at Valencia has taken another step this evening as Cesare Prandelli has submitted his resignation as coach of the east-coast club.

Since replacing Pako Ayestaran just three months ago, the Italian has been unable to turn the tide at the Estadio Mestalla, winning one and drawing three of his eight games in charge in the league, and claiming two victories in the Copa del Rey.

Currently, the Italian is negotiating the terms of his departure from Los Che having made his intention to leave.
