Peter Schmeichel has applied to be the next Leicester Citymanager, according to Sky sources.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper has not been a manager before but is keen to succeed Nigel Pearson who was sacked earlier this month.

The 51-year-old’s son Kasper is a goalkeeper at the club, so that could be part of the draw for the Dane.
Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has also been linked with a return to Leicester after he secured promotion to the Premier League in 1996.
