Real Madrid have confirmed that defender Pepe has signed a new contract with the club that will keep him in the Spanish capital until 2017.
The Portugal international was entering the final year of his current deal but is now set to continue his defensive partnership with Sergio Ramos for the next couple of seasons – the Spaniard having secured his own long-term Blancos future earlier in the week.
Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu from Porto in 2007, the 32-year-old has helped Real win La Liga twice – along with the 2014 Champions League.
