Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho would be ideal Paris Saint-Germain signings, according to club legend Pauleta.
Ronaldo has been tentatively linked with PSG for years, while Mourinho’s future at Stamford Bridge hangs in the balance due to the reigning English champions’ shockingly poor start to 2015-16.
Pauleta, 42, has suggested his Portuguese compatriots as potential targets for the Ligue 1 title holders, arguing that former international team-mate Ronaldo would love life at the Parc des Princes.
“Cristiano and Mourinho at PSG – that would be a good idea,” he told RTL. “PSG would be an ideal team for Ronaldo to spend two or three seasons at.
“PSG would be delighted to have a player of his quality. And it would be great for the Portuguese in Paris.”
Pauleta was the club’s all-time record goalscorer until Sunday, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s double against Marseille propelled him above the retired forward and onto 110 goals.
When asked who he would pick if forced to choose between Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, Pauleta responded: “I’d stick with Cristiano Ronaldo – he’s the captain of Portugal, my homeland.”
