Ex Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed says the appointment of Michael Osei as interim coach will lead to disaster.
Osei,an ex Kotoko star and current assistant coach has been handed the reins of the club after the club asked head coach Masud Dramani to proceed on leave, effectively ending his three year stint with the club after a poor run of form that sees the defending champions lying 12th on the league table.
He is expected to lead the tam out during it’s Elite tournament fixture against Wassaman and also during the club’s must win league game at the Baba Yara Stadium against WAFA.
“I have heard that coach Michael Osei will temporarily take charge of the club and that will be a disaster for the club because the players will not accord him the same respect as they will do for the head coach (Dramani),” Yahaya Mohammed told Happy FM from his Libya base where he is currently contracted to Al Ahly Tripoli
Kotoko is currently in talks with ex Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan to take over the role on a full time basis.
