Official: Bournemouth sign Murray from Crystal Palace

Bournemouth have confirmed they have signed Glenn Murray from Crystal Palace on a three-year deal.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion frontman joins the Cherries for a fee reported to be around £4 million, becoming Eddie Howe’s ninth arrival of a busy summer.

Murray scored 44 goals in 114 league appearances for Palace after arriving at Selhurst Park in 2011. The 31-year-old forced himself into Alan Pardew’s first-team plans towards the end of last season but the summer arrivals of Connor Wickham and Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford pushed him back down the pecking order.
