It’s now up to me to deliver – Kwesi Appiah

Black Stars new boy, Kwesi Appiah believes that he needs to silence his critics and live up to the expectation of both the technical team and Ghanaian fans.

Appiah, who is virtually unknown in the Ghanaian football circles, was a surprise inclusion in Coach Avram Grant’s provisional 31 man squad and subsequently made it into the final 23 man squad for the 2015 AFCON slated for Equatorial Guinea.

His initial call up and his ability to make the team has received mixed reactions from football loving Ghanaians most of whom feel it is too early for him to play in the senior national team. But Kwesi Appiah knows too well what to do to prove his worth to every doubting Thomas.

“It’s now up to me to deliver and prove that my inclusion was not a mistake. I have been playing well for my Club and was not really surprised with the call up. I have heard many things, with regards to my inclusion into the team and I know what to do”, Kwesi Appiah
mentioned in an interview with Sportscrusader.com.

“I believe my performance in our first friendly match was a good one and the coaches liked it. But the tournament will be the perfect place to really prove my worth and I am looking forward to it”.
