Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak Gerald Ankrah is sanguine that the Club will not only participate in the CAF Confederations Cup to add up the numbers, but make a meaningful impact as well.
Hearts of Oak together with Asante Kotoko are the only two representatives in next year’s CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.
Both Clubs are not resting on their oars when it comes to preparations as series of friendly matches have become the order of the day, an action Hearts of Oak stands tall, having played well over thirty (30) friendly matches across the country.
“We are on course and the technical team and the playing body are also doing their best to get in shape for the tournament next year.”
“I am particularly happy with that fact that the team is gradually gelling and their performance in recent matches has been very exciting.”
“We are not going to Africa to joke or add up to the numbers. We are going to make an impact and it is against this background that Management is working hand in hand with the Board to make sure that the playing body and the technical staff are well motivated”, the hardworking Hearts Managing Director mentioned in an interview with sportscrusader.com.
Gerald, who has a track record of excelling in any institution he finds himself, is poised to make the Hearts of Oak brand more vibrant and attractive to the outside community.
“I believe that this chance of participating in Africa will not only give the players the needed exposure but open more doors financially to the Club.”
