Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase are expected to honour matchday 15 game against Medeama on Sunday following reports they had pulled out of the league for financial and other reasons.
New Edubiase United president Abdul Salam Yakubu had confirmed the club was withdrawing their participation due to the above reasons but former executive member of the team William Owusu said he had sorted things out with Yakubu and that the outfit would be there for Medeama clash.
“We will play against Medeama today. The team is on their way to Tarkwa and I have talked to the President to withdraw the letter from the GFA and rescind the decision. I have decided to foot the cost of the trip in today’s game,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.
This is not the first time the Bekwai-based side have threatened to abandon the league this season.
