Sulley Muntari’s new deal with Al Ittihad Jeddah will see him make more money than any player currently playing the league that he is leaving behind.
The interesting fact was revealed by Italian football expert James Horncastle in a tweet on Tuesday morning.
Sulley Muntari to earn 7m a year at Al-Ittihad. It’s a 2-year deal. Would be the highest paid player on those terms in Serie A

The Ghanaian midfielder’s 7 million euro a year deal tops that of Roma’s Italian international Danielle de Rossi, who earns 6.5 million euros a year.
Muntari’s Gulf adventure has seen him increase his wages significantly from the 3 million euros a year he was earning at AC Milan.
Not a bad way to say goodbye to a nightmare.
