Asante Kotoko have rejected Tumu Park which is suppose to host their FA Cup round of 32 encounter against the lower division side on Saturday.
The management of Asante Kotoko argues that the game was originally scheduled to be played at Wa, so they don’t understand why the change of venue to Tumu and they would only play at the new venue when it passes the standards set by the Club Licensing Board.
“We were initially informed that, the aforementioned match was to be played in Wa only to learn later that, the match has been moved to Tumu after the Upper West Regional Football Association (RFA) Chairman inspected the venue.
“Furthermore, the venue cannot be passed for this match without recourse to the Club Licensing Board. Therefore Kumasi Asante Kotoko will not play at that venue and in consequence brings its decision to the notice of the FA” this was stated In a letter 12 April, 2016, signed by General Manager, Opoku Nti
