With his future yet to be confirmed, it appears Jose Mourinho’s reported move to Manchester United could see him reunite with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Portuguese tactician has been linked with a move to the Red Devils for months now, with current manager Louis van Gaal’s future under constant question due to the club’s poor season.
With United sitting four points back of Arsenal for the final Champions League spot with five matches remaining, German newspaper Bild reports Mourinho will pen a deal that will see him manage the Manchester side until 2019.
However the story also goes on to suggest that the former Chelsea and Inter boss will have Ibrahimovic at his disposal, with the 34-year-old reportedly angling for an exit from the French club.
One issue that could prevent a reunion is that with United currently on the outside looking in when it comes to a Champions League spot, it remains to be seen whether Zlatan would be willing to miss out on Europe’s top competition given his age.
The Swede has yet to win the tournament despite his long list of accolades, and there are doubts as to whether he would agree to join a side that may miss out on the competition.
Mourinho and Ibrahimovic worked together at Inter during the 2008/09 season before the Swede was sold to Barcelona.
