Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is wary of Medeama ahead of their upcoming encounter in the playoff round of the Caf Confederations Cup.
The Brazilians were pitted against the Ghana FA Cup champions in Thursday’s draw, having been booted out of the Caf Champions League after falling to Congolese side AS Vita Club in the round of eight.
“Unfortunately, we don’t know much about them [Medeama] because when we came to Ghana, we played [only] Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak and I think one Dwarfs in Cape Coast,” the coach told JoySports.
“Those are the teams that we know. We don’t know anything about the team [Medeama].
“We don’t know whom their important player is.
“We would have to make investigations about them and respect them too because they are good [and] that’s why they are there [in the playoffs].”
Medeama reached the playoff round following a 2-0 aggregate victory over Sudanese side El Ahly Shandi after earlier accounting for Al Ittihad Tripoli of Libya in the first round.
Sundowns will host the first leg encounter in South Africa between May 6 and 8 before heading for Ghana for the return fixture two weeks later.
