Monaco are set to announce the signing of former CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love in the coming days, after the Brazilian passed a medical with the principality club on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old had spent time with Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng before returning his home country with Corinthians in 2015, but the prolific frontman will once again test his abilities in Europe once pen is put to paper with the Ligue 1 club.
Goal has learned the UEFA Cup winner has already passed his medical tests with Monaco and will sign a contract later on Wednesday, though will not be presented to the press until Thursday at the earliest.
Capped 20 times for Brazil, all eyes will be on the former Russian Premier League top scorer to produce the goods for a Stade Louis II side looking to improve their potency in front of goal.
Currently third in Ligue 1, Monaco will hope Love’s addition will help propel them to guaranteed Champions League qualification come the end of the season, with PSG looking unstoppable at the head of the table with a 20-point lead over second-placed Angers.
