Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Teko Modise has wished Bafana Bafana and coach Shakes Mashaba all the best for the upcoming 2015 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Bafana are set to open their AFCON account against Algeria in Group C in January 19 and the Mamelodi Sundowns General believes the national side are not far from doing well.
“Coach Shakes and (the) boys have been doing well. We qualified for the AFCON and have been preparing for the group stages of the greatly anticipated competition,” said Modise.
“Recently Bafana drew (1-1) against Cameroon in Gabon following a round of good results in the build-up, the friendly match was one that indicated that we are not far from the goal of doing well in the tournament.

The former Orlando Pirates man added that with the AFCON set to get underway this coming weekend, Africa is expected to showcase talent.
“The 2015 AFCON will take place shortly, Africa is expected to showcase the talent brewed from the African soil,” added the General.
“Football is what we live for and it is exciting to know that our national team (Bafana Bafana) will be taking part in the tournament.”
