Medeama SC have completed the signings of Berekum Arsenals goalkeeper Andre Abbey and Tamale Utrecht defender Vincent Dey in a three-year deal each.
Both men played in the second-tier league last season and later joined the FA Cup holders on trial, impressing coach Tom Strand. They played part and excelled in the club’s 1-0 win over Unicorn FC in a preseason friendly last weekend.
Medeama, after losing goalkeeper Foli Adade, Tetteh Zutah, Evans Quao, Kofi Agyare and Bismark Adjei, have been busy in the market for their replacements.
Abbey and Dey will become the third and fourth signings after Enoch Atta Agyei and Patrick Opoku joined last month from Windy Professionals and Bechem United respectively.
Sports5050 understands that Medeama will announce other new signings in the coming weeks after negotiations have proved fruitful.
Medeama finished 11th on the league log with 41 points but they will represent Ghana in the 2016 Caf Confederation Cup competition after winning the Ghana FA Cup.
