Floyd Jnr honoured with ‘The Best Ever’ trophy

Floyd Mayweather may have the perfect record in the ring – having won WBC, WBO and WBA welterweight titles – but he looked humbled after being honoured with ‘The Best Ever’ award.

The 38-year-old was at Spike TV’s Guys Choice awards when actor Robert De Niro presented him with the trophy.

Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in the $300million bout as he extended his unbeaten record to 48-0.

He was joined by a host of celebrities including Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Pratt and Jonny Knoxville at the ceremony in Culver City, California.

With one fight left remaining for Mayweather it remains to be seen who is next opponent will be.

Amir Khan is convinced that he will be rewarded with the mega-fight against ‘Money’ and admitted there had been movement regarding negotiations between the parties.
