Maxwell Konadu ended his reign as caretaker coach of the Black Stars on a high note on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Togo to seal qualification to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Konadu was first elevated to take charge of the team in October for the back-to-back matches Guinea following the dismissal of Kwesi Appiah in September.
The 2014 CHAN silver medal winning coach drew 1-1 in the first leg and beat the Syli Nationale 3-1 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The ex-international had his tenure extended for the final two qualifiers due to the inability of the Ghana Football Association to name a substantive coach.
Konadu, a 1992 Olympian, lost against Uganda 1-0 in Kampala but recovered to beat Togo 3-1 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
Former Chelsea manager Avram Grant will be named substantive coach next week after reaching an agreement with the Ghana Football Association over his financial package.
