Adverse weather conditions have led to Borussia Monchenbladbach’s Champions League trip to Manchester City postponed just minutes before kick-off.
After initally scheduling the game for September 13, the game will now kick off 24 hours later, on Wednesday September 14 at 19:45 GMT.
Downpours and thunderstorms have marred many cities in the west and north of Britain today, in sharp contrast to the rather sunny weather in the east of the isles.
However, Lancashire is one of the worst-affected areas leading to the match officials making the decision to abandon the match just 25 minutes before the Group C game began.
