Medeama SC midfielder Malik Akowuah has stated that he is ready to join TP Mazembe if negotiations between the two clubs go well.
Akowuah for the past month has heavily been linked with a move to the Lubumbashi based club following his exploits for the Tarkwa based club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
It is not only TP Mazembe who have expressed their interest in the former Great Olympics middleman but South African side Mamelodi Sundowns are also eyeing the signature of the Ghanaian.
“I’m ready to join TP Mazembe and I pray that the negotiations with my bosses work out well. TP Mazembe are a big club in Africa and their officials spoke to me after our game against them. It is every player’s dream to move on so if this chance has come I will take it. Also, it will help my club to raise funds.” Akowuah said.
He added: “It is not about the financial situation facing the club and I don’t also have any problem with management. I love Medeama but I just want to take this great opportunity to make progress in my career.”
