FC Lorient player and Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris made a return from injury in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday to help his French side secure all three points in the game against Angers.
Majeed Waris transferred to FC Lorient to fill the void left by the departure of international team-mate Jordan Ayew.
The Ghana however got injured after his debut which saw him miss duty with the senior national team of Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nation qualifying game during the international break.
Waris however crowned his return to club football with a goal scoring the second of three for Lorient in their 3-1 victory over Angers.
Away side Angers took the lead via Romain Saiss in the first half with Yann Jouffre equalizing after the break. Abdul Majeed Waris sent Lorient 2-1 up before Benjamin Jeannot rounded up the win for the home side.
