The pharaohs of Egypt today beat Morocco by 1-0 after kahraba converted a late corner kick  to push Egypt to the semi final of AFCON. Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet came close when he  fired a shot from the left angle of the goal in the 14th minute  but was saved by goalkeeper Munir.

Egypt had more of the ball after the goal and dominated possession but the Atlas of Morocco kept closing down their opponents inorder for them not to have more spaces to operate, and pass the ball around often.

Saiss almost opened the scoring for Morocco  in the 33rd minute through a header after receiving a Da Costa cross but the ball went over the bar.

Morocco then kept on trying their luck when Monaco’s Nabil Dirar’s shot  went wide the goal post in the 45minute .it then turned into an end to end action as Morocco’s  goalkeeper made a wonderful save  in denying Mohammed Salah in the 48th minute after he received a ball from Al Said.

Morocco grew more aggressive when Bissoufa almost produced a magic when he hit the cross bar  with a fine and brilliant individual effort in the 54th minute.  Morocco’s Bouhadouz also had his ball deflected  out wide in the 67th minute.

The clock kept on ticking  as it looked like there was going to be an extra time, but Mohammed Salah again came soo close to break the deadlock as goalkeeper Munir did a lot to save the ball.

Egypt was pressing more and more  as the final hour came, when Mahmoud kahraba  finally scored the winning goal in the 87th minute to send Morocco home as they qualify to meet Burkina Faso in the semi finals of the competition.
