Newly appointed coach of the Black Stars, Avram Grant has said local players will have equal access of competiting for a place in the Black Stars.
He said players capable of playing for the Black Stars will be invited to justify their inclusion, adding such players must be passionate, determined and have the winning mentality.
The media has alsways argued that local players are not given equal opportunities of playing for the national team as compared to their foreign compatroits, but the newly appoibted coach seems to have a different opinion about player selection.
At a Press Conference at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Avram Grant said, “Let me say this. Every Ghanaian player has equal chance of playing for the Black Stars so long as they are ready, fit, passionate and determined to win.
“Every player from every village or anywhere can be invited to play for the team if only they possess the qualities needed”. He stated.
Avram Gran was formally unveiled as the Black Star coach on Thursday morning at the Press Center of the GFA.
