It is not yet a done deal, but one thing is for sure and that is, last season’s Premier League champions are left with few details to completed the signing of Wilfred Ndidi from Genk.
Leicester has offered the midfielder, 20 years, a five-and-a-half year deal subject to securing a work permit.

It has been reported that Leicester has already agreed a transfer fee in the region of £15 million with Genk for the Nigerian international.
Ndidi has already undergone his medical at the King Power Stadium and Leicester are only waiting for formalities of the transfer and if all other things should go well as planned, the player is expected to complete his move within a few days.
The 20-year-old has spent the past two seasons in the Belgian Pro League after joining Genk on his 18th birthday and helped the club finish top of Group F in the Europa League this season.

The signing is a clear indication that the Foxes are looking to stave off threat of relegation, currently placed 15th with 21 points having won only five games after twenty matches.
There is no doubt that the sale of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea in the summer has had a negative impact on Leicester, lacking the depth in midfield where Daniel Amartey has failed to fill the French’s boot.
We can only wait to see whether the new signing can provide any remarkable changes in midfield and give manager Claudio Ranieri a bit of fresh air.
