Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyihas denied rift between him and Asante Kotoko General Manager Opoku Nti.
Reports emanating from Kumasi suggest the GFA president is lobbying for the sacking of Opoku Nti as who is currently under-pressure due to the dwindling fortunes of Kotoko in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
Kwesi Nyantakyi has vehemently denied those reports, stressing that he has no problem with Opoku Nti.
“First of all I have a relationship with Otumfuo which is beyond Kotoko,” Nyantakyi told Accra based Happy Fm
“Otumfuo owns Kotoko and he takes his decision so he is the only one who decides what is good for the club.
“I don’t have any problem with the current general manager but it got to a time that people started sharing their opinion, between the board and management but that is it.”
“I do not own Kotoko. All I can do is to give an advice, because at the end of the day all we seek is the interest of Kotoko.
“Because Hearts of Oak is doing well if we have Kotoko doing well it will be in the interest of Ghana football.”
