Kwarasey nominated for MLS save of the week

Ghanaian goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has been nominated for the best save of the week in the MLS.

The Portland Timbers goalkeeper dove low to deny a long range shot from Chris Wondolowski in the 2-1 defeat for his side. Kwarasey competes against Joe Willis of Houston Dynamo in his first round of goal of the week in the system of voting.

Despite Black Stars goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey getting a nomination for goal of the week, the Ghanaian stopper also conceded a golazo in the game against San Jose Earthquakes with scorer Quincy Amarikwa showing an audacious piece of skill.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant has recalled the goalkeeper for Ghana’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Mozambique later this month.
